John C Maxwell once said, “I literally spend tens of thousands of dollars a year for people to be my extra eyes and ears. There is no possible way for me to see or handle every obstacle or roadblock that comes my way.”
He called these people coaches. No one today can compete well in sports or business without a coach. A Coach is someone that makes successful people even more successful. What got you to this place in your life will not take you to the next level of ministry.
Pastors are trying to accomplish the impossible; as they juggle a family, a church and a career with little help, education or experience. They are expected to work miracles, pay bills without money and answer impossible problems that took years to create. While not short of friends, opinions and criticism, they often don’t have someone they can be open with that knows at least a little more than they do. It’s no wonder that most churches get stalled and the pastors are frustrated.
While no one can promise growth, I can promise to help you make your life as fruitful and fulfilled as possible, making sure that you’re doing all you can for God.
Ministry Experience
I have a master’s degree from Northern Arizona University and taught for five years in Flagstaff, Arizona. I moved to Payson, Arizona to pioneer in 1979. After two years there was a thriving church that would plant eleven churches over the next ten years. My family and I moved to pioneer a church in Tucson that reached about fifty in under a year and then moved to Flagstaff and pastored the church I was saved in for two years seeing it to grow by about a hundred. My family finally moved to Denver, Colorado to pioneer. The church would peak at over three hundred. Out of my ministry have come many pastors.
I wrote We Can Take the Land in 1984 because of my burden for pastors. That book has been used by hundreds of pastors to start churches all over the world. I have preached in over twenty nations and written ten other books to help pastors and the church. During the past three years, I’ve spoken to several hundred pastors each year at conferences and encounters. While pasturing, I have spoken in over forty-five churches a year.
In 2008, we turned over our church in Denver to Dave and Loua Clair to be more available to help pastors and churches. We’re currently partnering with Larry Neville in Praise Chapel and are hoping to help several churches experience a breakthrough.
I believe strongly in the value of small churches, and I’m not saying everyone can build a mega church or that a small church is the “fault” of the pastor. What’s true is that everyone is benefited by being encouraged and challenged. I’m not sure I’ve ever met a pastor that didn’t feel they could do better in their walk and ministry, but many are just not sure what that takes.
The Coach and Consulting Program:
Duration: One year
How it Works
Step One: Evaluation
Pastor Ron will come into your church and evaluate the church leadership, programs and building. In this stage, Pastor on will present things that can help your church become healthy, while removing obstructions to growth.
Step Two: Ministry
As your coach, Pastor Ron is available to minister at your church over a period of a few days. He will speak at your Sunday morning service and at your mid-week service. While there, Pastor Ron would also have personal evaluation meetings with your leaders and you, the pastor. In most cases, so you can get the most out of Pastor Ron’s ministry, an Encounter or Revival can be held at your church during this process.
Step Three: Connection
Pastor Ron will stay connected with you even after his visit, ready to work with you and your church leadership on development, programs and church growth. Pastor Ron will be your personal coach with a one-year commitment. When you sign up for the one-year program, you have first call on Pastor Ron’s advisory time.
Coaching Spots are limited. Sign-up today for the ONE-YEAR COACH AND CONSULTING program for only $150/month!
